Blue print of the red fist.
On the same day that I finished reading Trevor Corson’s insightful book, The Secret Life of Lobsters, I happened upon this cyanotype that I made on Mount Desert Island, Maine two summers ago. The source for this image (which I initially traced on to a piece of plastic provided in a cyanotype kit) was one that had been printed on a serving platter. Being in such close proximity then to the ocean home of the legendary American Lobster, it seemed to make sense to create this blueprint homage.
